Policies

 

booking

All reservations require full prepayment.

For most weekends of the year, we have a two-night minimum for weekend stays, with the exception of a few weekends Dec-Feb. One night weekday stays are welcome year-round.

Our rates are based on double occupancy. Our Standard Double rooms can sleep 4 adults, and each additional guest (beyond the included 2) is $15/night.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A GROUP/EVENT BOOKING, PLEASE CONTACT US DIRECTLY. (A HOTEL BUYOUT IS REQUIRED FOR GROUPS LARGER THAN 4 ROOMS/8 PEOPLE).

When you book, your credit card is securely kept on file under your reservation. We require a card to be held on file during your stay (retail purchases, damages). If you would like to change this card or if your card has expired, please let us know We reserve the right to assess and charge for any damages, missing items or excessive cleaning fees.

 
 
 

Cancellations

No one likes to cancel plans, but it does happen.  We try to have a system policy that is fairly flexible for the guest, but also is understanding that last-minute cancellations really affect other guests from booking rooms. Being a small, family-owned hotel, cancellations have a large effect on us, unlike hotel chains and larger properties. We do understand that things happen and we will always do our best to accommodate. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email us!

For cancellations made at least 21 days prior to your reservation, please email or call us for a full refund, less a $10 processing fee.

For cancellations made between 8-20 days prior to your reservation, a 50% refund will be given.

For cancellations made within 7 days of your reservation, no refund will be given.

Should your stay at the Vinchester be shortened for any reason, you are responsible for the remainder of your reservation with us.

 
 
 

room cleaning

For guests staying 2 nights or less there is no daily cleaning service, but we are happy to refresh towels and take out your trash upon request. For guests staying 3 or more nights, please speak with staff when you arrive to organize your room cleanings.

 
 
 

room charges & damages

When you book online with us, our system keeps your card on file to cover any room charges and damage. A menu with prices is included in all rooms and you will be charged at checkout for whatever you consume. Damage to furniture, linens and other property will be assessed and then billed to the customer at our replacement cost, which may include labor costs.  We will always try to be transparent in our communication about damage to the rooms.  Keep in mind that excessively soiled linens, carpets and furniture will be included as damages.

 
 
 

property rules

No smoking of any kind is permitted inside our rooms or on room balconies. We have a designated smoking area in our back parking lot, under the pergola.

Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. During this time, we ask that you respect your neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. If we have to repeatedly ask you to quiet down, we will then ask you to leave the property and no refund will be given.
