About

Our Story

In March 2018, three sisters- Hannah, Lindsey, and Madison- inherited the Vinchester from their dad, Rick. The inn hadn’t been updated much since it was built in 1995.

For a few years, Hannah and her husband,Miles, commuted from St. Louis on weekends to take care of business. The year 2020 gifted them downtime to complete some renovations, a rush of tourism once the world returned to normalcy and best of all, it gave them a new perspective. Later that year, Hannah and Miles officially moved to Hermann to become the full time owners/operators of the Vinchester.

Chances are you’ll find the innkeepers walking their pup, Nellie, with their two young children, or at The Fancy Pheasant, their general store just down the alley from the inn.

Designed for the discerning Hermann visitor, above all else, we want the Vinchester to feel like your home away from home. Much thought has gone into every bit of our properties, and we hope that is evident in your experience here.

With well-appointed rooms, an amazing location and on-site event space, we’re proud to be a mainstay boutique hotel in Hermann. We know there are many options in this little town. Come see what makes the Vinchester special.

We look forward to hosting you,

Hannah and Miles James
